To start, I would like to apologize for being over two weeks late with posting these captions. The weekend of the submission deadline, I had a family emergency that has taken my attention for the better part of the last two weeks. Given this recent event, my attention and interest in anything on this site or TG related has dwindled to next to nothing, and I'm sorry to say that this may be the last contest for quite some time. There is a sad sense of irony in the fact that a contest meaning to celebrate the success of 50 contests on this site may be the precursor to an extended hiatus, but I hope that it instead reflects a microcosm of the wonderful people and writing that have graced this venue for many years now. Thank you to all of the participants in this contest, from the regulars to the new faces looking to try something we all enjoy - it people like you who have made these past 50 contests so special.
