Absence and Beauty Contest

Hello all. Long time no chat!

Let me just jump straight into this and explain my absence. I've struggled with depression on and off for the past five years and had a significant bout starting in early December. I had seen some of the warning signs and had considered not posting the Beauty Caption Contest, but loved the theme so much that I wanted to at least try and collect some caps. Alas, almost immediately after posting, I lost all motivation to check this blog and my email, and now its been almost a month since that post. I apologize for any confusion this caused, but I hope you'll be understanding that I needed to take care of myself and get to a better place. Thankfully I am feeling much better now.

However, since I am back I do want to finish this contest! As of right now only three people have sent in caps (as I imagine my one week deadline and then month long absence threw people off). As such, I encourage you all to go to the images for this contest and try your hand at captioning them! I'll also be throwing in a few new images at the bottom (a couple of submission that got to me late and things I've found) in case you want to try something new! As of now the deadline will be Wednesday, January 25th in the hopes that people will be excited enough to produce caps quickly...and if not I'll make a judgement whether to extend or just post whatever we have.

Finally, I think that I will try a few more contests where people submit images in the near future. If you also have an idea for a theme to do, feel free to email me about that! Seeing emails with pics, ideas, or captions submission for the contests definitely help me out!
